We offer a selection of TESL programs to suit your individual needs and objectives. Whichever program you choose, you’ll learn classroom management, lesson planning and the principals of teaching English as a second language. You’ll also complete a practicum component that will enable you to approach your first TESL posting with confidence and skill.
Omnicom 120-hour TESL Certificate Program (in class):
If you have no prior teaching experience, this five-week program will familiarize you with the basics of language teaching and learning. The theoretical components (100 hours) run four weeks, followed by a one-week practicum component (20 hours). After successfully completing this program, you’ll be eligible to apply for your TESL Canada professional certificate level 1.

Omnicom 120-hour TESL Certificate Program (online):
This program is very much the same, both in content and scope, as the in-class version (above). It’s unique, however, because of its convenience, flexibility and affordability. The 100-hour theoretical component can be taken part-time or full-time, followed by a 20-hour (one-week) practicum component. You can complete your practicum component at our Toronto campus or arrange to do it at another approved centre. After successfully completing this program, you’ll be eligible to apply for your TESL Canada professional certificate level 1.

Omnicom 320-hour TESL Diploma Program (in class):
This 13-week program takes an in-depth look at the most critical aspects of English teaching and learning. The theoretical components total 280 hours over the course of 11 weeks, followed by 45 hours of practicum in the subsequent two weeks. After successfully completing this program, you’ll be eligible to apply for your TESL Canada professional certificate level 2.
